To continue on the success of our Rolling with the Champion series, we created a new episode for All-Star Weekend 2018. We wanted to start the year with a bold statement, and we knew that to stand out we’d have to go big. Luckily both LeBron James and Kevin Durant agreed to star in it. And their candid commentary, both in the commercial and the long-form documentary it drove to, made quite an impact. Thanks to a Fox News anchor’s disparaging remarks about the athletes’ commentary, a hashtag (#shutupanddribble) was born and a nationwide dialogue was sparked. From Charles Barkley hosting SNL to Kobe Bryant accepting an Oscar, the conversation lived on long past our media buy. And hopefully LeBron and KD’s talk inspired viewers as much as those of us who made it.
